It's important for me to have a pleasant grocery shopping experience, so opted for Fresh Market.
My daughter would have had a much more pleasant experience today had she gone to today's grand opening of Great Lakes Fresh Market. It was disorienting to go into the former Plumbs and find everything in a different layout. But after awhile, I began to gradually fall in love with it. When you pass by a refrigerated/frozen section, it lights up as if to say, "Welcome." I thought I wouldn't like no music, as Plumbs catered to my generation, but then, I thought better no music than what I hear at Meijers, actually what I don't hear there, because the "music" sort of reaches your ears like Chicago's Union Station P.A. system. It didn't have everything, but pretty near everything, and if you want to keep the prices down, they have a house brand. I really think Fresh Market should pay me for this. But writers are like broadcasters and community theater actors.

😈 saying, "Ah, but the other half is an urban, Swedish whimp." The Swedish whimp is so glad to be in her nice, warm toasty office.
🔥Tried to make the best of recycling, but I guess I hate it too much.So, I "volunteered" to go to Lake Fresh Market, to kind of balance out the day. It was brighter than last time, sort of like Plumbs used to be, and there was even....music!

🏃♀️acres to retrieve it, or just say to myself, forget it, it's just too far. There was an employee from the former store there, with whom I could chat, and the possibility that the deli would be serving daily specials like they used to.

Read it was good to have a positive experience, to improve your relationship with food. Didn't know if the music was catering to my age group until they played Elton John. Didn't have the right Stouffers, so got Deli chicken meal; hit the spot.... which brings me to this point: I don't think I have a deep need to improve my relationship with food.

😳Also, a guy who was running late 
🏃♂️for work made a deal with me at the check-out counter. He'd have his water bottle for $1.05 run through on my tab by paying me $2, and I put my hands to my head, "Say...What?"
😕 Then, I got it, and just rolled with it, having made nearly an extra dollar.
