Confined by the Weird Weather

I tell myself as I'm waking up,👁 isn't it great that I don't have to go anywhere today? ðŸ‘Đ‍ðŸĶģThen, I tie up loose ends on the housekeeping, read a little, do a little more, read a little more, (You see I'm reading 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, even though it's a little late for me), check out the internet, listen to my husband, who seems a bit talkative,ðŸ—Ģ until I feed him,ðŸĨŠ then, he "chills"ðŸĨī in front of the TV. He's already told me it's too wet outðŸšĢ‍♀️ there to walk. Now, am going a little stir crazy. ðŸĪŠThen, after awhile I go up and down the stairs,ðŸšķ‍♀️ back to here, go up and down the stairs again, go out to the porch for fresh air, and it's really weird...snow on the ground☃️ as it rains and rains, then...thunders🌧 in...February? But all's well that ends well, I ask Bill, why do I hear the voice of Steven Hawking on TV? That's because it was him, saying for sure, there is life on other planets...Cool!🌎

So, the Vikings Got Around?

A most enlightening day: Up until a couple years ago, I went around with the delusion I was ONLY Scandinavian (1/2 Norwegian & 1/2 Swede) My brother began to burst that bubble with his report, and I got proof today. It may explain why I love Celtic Spirituality,🧝‍♀️ and it feels natural to dance a jig, and why I'm drawn to Sherlock Holmes🔎 and Lewis Carroll. ðŸ’‚‍♀️I share with one of my friends, not only our Swedish-ness, but our Finnish-ness.🎞 Also, I can no longer chide my husband for his German-ness and consequent Deutche behavior, a little drop of that, too, so pronunciation of German words, though recall is lost, was pretty natural, too. Ah yes, and Reuben ðŸĨŠSandwiches...yum!😋

Cars Stuck and Stopped in Snow

Everything got canceled, Yoga,🧘‍♀️ writers,🖊 etc. After we did a lot of "office work",🗄📇 though, we did get a chance to get out. We shoveled snow,ðŸ‘ŧafter the car🚗 got stuck. I was going to go to the chicken place for a Senior discount. Then, we knew the only way to get to the mailbox📭and Ghezzi's market, was to walk. ðŸšķ‍♀️ðŸšķ‍♂️ So there we were, two seniors, walking through the cold night, our replacement for Lee's Chicken...
Chicken sandwiches🐔...Delicious!

We got Snowed ðŸ‘ŧ in, meaning our driveway goes back to the alley. So, Bill called the City, and she made a note of it. She said the city usually takes care of the alleys, but hadn't gotten around to it. The priority was the roads, first. We got a knock ðŸĪœ on the door,🚊 and a guy from the City said they'd examined the Sewer👷‍♂️lines and couldn't find anything wrong. Bill said he'd never complained about the Sewer. The problem was the Snow. The guy did not seem to understand how impossible it was to get out from our garage to go through ðŸš— the alley and kept offering alternatives that wouldn't work. It also seems Bill couldn't convince the guy that he'd never put in a complaint about the Sewer.👷‍♂️The guy told him he should be clearer. Sorry fella, but a once broadcaster majors in clarity.🎙

Polar/Political Vortex

I didn't mind staying in, until Bill took 20 minutes pushing the garbage🗑 out and said it was a hockey rink out there. ðŸ’Then, I felt confined and started going stir crazy.ðŸĨķ So, instead of taking a walk, climbed up and down the basement stairs 10 times. Fun, fun.ðŸšķ‍♀️ Then, went out on the porch and breathed the fresh air.🌎

I told Bill I'm amazed that I've been able to live through two years of this administration. He said, we can't let things in the government bother us, that if I was in Russia, I could find a way to be happy under their regime. (I'm avoiding saying the name, here.) I'd just know not to say anything against the guy in charge there, so I wouldn't go to Siberia.

But then, I thought; Didn't Siberia just come here?💂‍♀️
